Your Home For Israeli Culture

Israeli Artists Project promotes and presents Israeli music, theater and art. IAP (pronounced “yap”) is a community-oriented non-profit organization that provides a stage for local Israeli artists as well as as opportunities for Americans and Israelis to experience Israeli culture together beyond the lenses of politics and religion.

Theater

Theater is at the core of IAP. Throughout our season, we present and perform Israeli plays and musicals in both Hebrew and English, from stage readings to full productions. Our shows are written both by famous and world-renowned playwrights as well as up-and-coming artists. We also offer Master Classes by leading Israeli playwrights and artists.

Join us March 22 - April 2 for our production of the Award winning play BEST FRIENDS by Anat Gov

Music

We are proud to facilitate musical events, which showcase original songs in English and Hebrew by local Israeli talent. Additionally, we formed our very own IAP Troupe, a musical ensemble consisting of some of the best musicians in town. The IAP Troupe offers different shows and is available for booking at any type of event - from a big hall to your very own home!

Join us for the second SHIR-A-LONG on March 28th featuring the cover band NEW AVIV CITY and special guests, Shlomit Levi and Hadar Baron

Art

New York is home to many amazing Israeli visual and fine artists. We aim to present them to the community by featuring their artwork in our yearly wall calendar as well as in art exhibitions. Additionally, we host paint nights with Israeli themes and an artist who teaches attendees how to become artists themselves, while enjoying wine and IAP members’ company.

Kids

IAP houses Yeladudes Bi-lingual Jewish Children’s Theater. We produce a wide variety of original Yeladues plays. In the past two years, we performed for JCCs, Federations, schools, camps and other community centers throughout the East Coast, from Upstate New York to Florida. Our highlight shows include Purim Baskets and Kef in Israel.

ISRAELI ARTISTS PROJECT has announced, in celebration of Women's History Month, the New York premiere production (after an extensive pandemic pause, initially scheduled in Spring of 2020) of award-winning Israeli playwright Anat Gov's BEST FRIENDS, the longest-running comedy in Israel and winner of the prestigious Israel National Theater Award for Best Comedy in 1999, directed by Hamutal Posklinsky-Shehory. “Israeli performing and visual arts and artists have so much to give to the world. We are proud to share their talent with audiences in North America.”

— Yoni Vendriger, Founder and Producing Artistic Director

It takes a kibbutz.

Israeli Artists Project is an organization created for and by the community. As a young, volunteer-driven organization with very limited resources, we have managed to produce dozens of shows, reaching thousands of audience members in our first year alone. 2023 marks a new beginning as we return to presenting Israeli theater, music and art with local Israeli artists.

We need your help to produce the Stav Festival, which costs a total of $100,000. We initially raised 20K and need your support to raise the rest. We hope to surpass our goal, as additional funding will be used for future productions already in the works!

Please consider a tax deductible donation on our CauseMatch crowd funding campaign. Any amount or other forms of donations and support are all welcome!
